The Association of Christian Truckers is commited to making the gospel of
our Lord and Savior available to drivers and travellers.
Our message is biblcal and straight-forward. Our beliefs are documented in the Statement of faith. The Association of Christian Truckers (A.C.T.) is dedicated to the cause of bringing christian trucking professionals together and advancing the cause of Christ on our nation's highways. Founded more than 40 years ago by former trucker, Chaplain Jim Keys, ACT has an
understanding of the industry and genuine heart for the trucker. ACT is headquartered in Brownstown, Illinois, on a 34 acre parcel along I-70 at Exit 68. Appropriately named "The Road Angel Trucker's Centre," facilities provide overnight parking,
bathrooms and showers, fellowship and prayer to road weary truckers at absolutely no charge EVER!
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. God's Word offers nuggets of truth and wisdom principles that can be applied practically and systematically for successful Christian living on the go. Every word and every verse brings life. Like careful eating habits bring health to the physical body, a daily and dilberate diet of God's Word brings health to the inner parts of our spirit man. The Bible says, "Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
The trucking professional regularly faces the loneliness of being away from family, the frustration of unexpected delays, and the stress of meeting deadlines. Drivers face constant dangers on the highways and the health risks of sleep deprivation. Hours of driving time yield the boredom of what drivers sometimes refer to as "whiteline fever." But Christian drivers have discovered the value of using their driving time to meditate on God's Word. It's becoming more and more common to see the lighted symbol of the cross on the grill or wind jammer of a truck as drivers proudly display the symbol of the faith they have in their hearts. Drivers who share an interest in spiritual things and a commitment to Jesus Christ are discovering one another and the joy of Christian Fellowship on the highways.
